Campus Visit Days
Wondering if IPS is the right place for you and your graduate education? Interested in learning more about the completely unique IPS vision, mission and groundbreaking education of healing through integrating Catholic anthropology and scientific psychology? Come and visit us!
The goal of our visit days is to give you a first-hand look into the richness of the IPS educational experience. Further, we invite you to interact with our community and network with students and faculty, which will be integral to any future applicant’s experience. Finally, we want you to physically engage in being here in our urban setting located in the Crystal City neighborhood of Arlington, VA, as we believe it will help you to better get a “feel” of our academic and community life.
Our visit days are pre-scheduled in order to give our visitors an optimal experience, and so reservations for these days are kindly requested at least one week in advance. If you are an applicant who has completed and submitted your entire application and would like to schedule your interview on a visit day, we ask that you give us a two week notice at minimum.
Full Experience Interview and Visit Days*
These Days offer the fullest experience we can offer to our prospective students. They include visits with current students and faculty, meetings with Admissions, tour of IPS and the Crystal City neighborhood, and a Faculty Case Conceptualization, which allows visitors to see the IPS integration model at work in a particular case!
*There are a limited number of interview slots for these dates, due to faculty availability. Should these slots fill, we can make arrangements for applicants who are ready to interview to come for their interview the day before the visit day (eg., October 14th, October 21st, November 11th, or November 18th), with the expectation that they would stay for the activities of the visit day the next day.
Alternate Visit Days
We want to give you the ultimate IPS experience when you visit us in order to aid in you discernment of whether IPS is the place for you. This is why we strongly suggest you attend one of the Full Experience Days to engage in all the opportunities we can offer you. However, if those dates do not work for you, we have a few alternate dates for you to visit. Though we will still offer you some great opportunities on these visit days, they do not provide the fullest experience of IPS, due to limited faculty availability. These dates will include a tour of IPS, a meeting with Admissions, a visit with current students, and possibly a meeting with a faculty member, depending on their availability.
If none of the above dates work for you, you may contact us, and we may be able to arrange a separate visit day for you. Please contact us two weeks in advance if you would like to set up your own visit day.
Please RSVP for one of these days by contacting our Admissions Office at firstname.lastname@example.org with the date you would like to attend, and someone will follow up with further information for you! Please note that interviews those interviewing as a part of the admission process (for more information about Admissions Interviews, click here) are required to RSVP for their interview day at least two weeks ahead of time, and all other visitors must RSVP at least a week ahead of time! This is to ensure that we have adequate time to prepare the best day possible for you at IPS!
