Dr. Pillion is a board certified psychiatrist who received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and trained in general adult psychiatry at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, utilizing both psychotherapy and medication management to target a range of problems, including OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Having a particular interest in the integrative potential between psychiatry and the Catholic Faith, he currently teaches psychopharmacology at the IPS and he sees patients at the Alpha Omega Clinic in Fairfax, Va.
Prior to medical school, Dr. Pillion taught high school history and received degrees in theology, philosophy, and politics from Franciscan University in Steubenville, the International Academy of Philosophy in Liechtenstein, and University of Dallas.
