Hope in Groups: Insights from Group Psychotherapy – Sept. 19, 2013
The lecture will address the concept of hope within a Catholic approach to group psychotherapy.
There will be a brief overview of the scientific evidence supporting the efficacy of group therapy. This will be followed by some thoughts about hope in the broadest sense and then from the viewpoint of social scientists and researcher.
The lecture will then treat hope as it might be seen by the group psychotherapist in a clinical setting.
There will be three excerpts from actual clinical material to illustrate how hope might be manifested with the group environment.
