Open House Visit Days

Perhaps you already know that you would like to apply to IPS, you are ready for more in depth information on IPS and would even like the opportunity to sit in on an IPS class and meet some of our renowned professors*.   Attending one of our Open House Visit Days would be perfect for you.   We invite you to reach out to us and we will reserve you a place at one of the Open House Visit Day this fall!

 

Here is a typical Open House Visit Day schedule:

9:00 a.m. Welcome and Introduction

9:30 a.m. Experience IPS 401: Option of Attending a Class (for Interviewing Applicants)

Interview 1 (for Interviewing Applicants)

10:30 a.m. Coffee Walk: Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy a tour of IPS and beautiful Crystal City, Arlington

12:05 p.m. Mass at IPS with our President, Fr. Charles or our Chaplain, Fr. Daniel (Optional)

12:35 p.m. Dinning…with a Little Discussion: Lunch w/ IPS students; a great opportunity to visit directly with current students about life as an IPS student and our community here…or really any topics that help you along your way to IPS

1:15 p.m. The Building of IPS: Our Mission, Vision, History and Future: with Gladys Sweeney, Ph.D., Founding Faculty Member and Academic Dean Emerita

Experience IPS 402: Option of Attending a Class (for Interviewing Applicants)

1:45 p.m. Interview 2 (for Interviewing Applicants)

An Application to Healing: Explanation of the application process for those not interviewing

2:30 p.m. Financing Your Education: an opportunity to meet with Dr. Mango, Director of Financial Aid

3:15 p.m. Farewell for Now…but Not For Long: Closing and final opportunity for questions

*To be interviewed, your application file must be complete and approved by the Admissions Committee.  Only interviewing applicants are permitted to observe classes; this is also scheduled through the Admissions Office.

If you are not interviewing, you are welcome to visit and participate in all other activities of the day.

This fall, there will be Open Houses held on the following days:

  • Monday, November 4th
  • Thursday, November 14th - Highly Encouraged
    This visit day is highly encouraged as it features an IPS Newman Lecture in the evening, where you will have an additional opportunity to gain valuable insight into the IPS integration of psychology and Catholic anthropology.
