Financial assistance
Because we are a non-profit, community-service oriented psychology training clinic, we offer a sliding-fee scale for therapy and assessment based on income. We do not refuse services because of clients’ limited financial resources.
At this time, we are unable to accept insurance plans.
Our therapists
The Center for Psychological Services is a training center for the doctoral students of the Institute for the Psychological Sciences, a Catholic graduate school of psychology.
The Center is staffed by externs who have already completed their master’s degrees and are pursuing their doctoral degrees.
Dr. Stephen H. Hamel, Ph.D., ABPP is the Director of the Center for Psychological Services and all the work carried out by our doctoral externs is supervised by experienced, licensed clinical psychologists who are on the faculty of the Institute.
Our Mission
The Center for Psychological Services is committed to providing high quality mental health services consistent with a Catholic understanding of the person, marriage and family life. At the heart of such treatment is a deep respect for the dignity of the client and commitment to providing appropriate services without discrimination and within the context of the client’s culture, race, religion, gender, and developmental level.
