Institutional Aid ProgramsInstitutional Aid The Institute for the Psychological Sciences is proud to offer a variety of assistantship positions to our students. The following assistantships are currently available and will be awarded on a competitive basis by a selection committee consisting of faculty and appropriate staff.
Clinic Assistantships (Psy.D.):
- Psy.D. Clinic Assistants provide advanced clerical assistance to the clinic consistent with the assistant's level of training and skills (e.g., handling phone inquiries for clinical services, scoring basic screening instruments).
Teaching Assistantships (Psy.D.):
- Monitoring in-class practice exercises,
- Grading class assignments,
- Proctoring exams,
- Recording grades
- Giving lectures or assisting with clinical demonstrations, and
- Assisting with classroom activities (e.g. logistics, limited tutoring, etc.)
Research Assistantships (Psy.D. and 2nd year M.S.):
- Research assignments appropriate to the knowledge and skills of the Psy.D. and 2nd year M.S. students.
General Assistantships (All M.S.):
- M.S. General Assistants may be assigned to faculty or administration/staff support; duties may include general clerical support or library support.
